I am making progress on gathering information and developing the structure within Obsidian, organizing and thinking this through. ChatGPT is a great resource for this since the Beatles have been so heavily documented; the likelihood of hallucinations are lower.
It is one thing to gather the studio albums and list the tracks. But you quickly enter into the complexity of this when you consider the alternate track lists and variations of each album release (UK vs North American versions, for example). Add in that songs were released as singles with B-sides, repackaged as EPs and LPs, and you can quickly jumble the structure.
I’m including the Anthologies, compilations, documentaries, music videos (promotions), and live albums in this. (You can find some of these on our Resources page.)
And then we have studio gear, which was ever changing from song to song. I haven’t comprehensively added these yet, but it’s a work in progress. Other items to add will be rooms, studio spaces, musical instruments, etc.
All of this will be available on this site. Each song will be added as a post, and many items will be pages. You’ll have the option to comment line by line to provide feedback.
As I mention, I’m starting this in Obsidian, which is a powerful note taking tool (a second brain, if you will). This helps me flesh out the structure of the site.
The video shows Obsidian constructing a graph view of what I have so far. I put this gathered all of this in the past 24 hours.
